Blending in with her college co-eds proves difficult for vampire Hunter, Emma Martin, considering the mystical tattoo on her wrist glows whenever Vamps are near. And after three months of silence, the glow is back with a vengeance.
Jake Cunningham witnesses Emma, a violet-eyed beauty, using unimaginable powers to fight off a fanged creature. Finally, after two years of searching, he may have found out what he’s become—a Hunter, like Emma.
Thankful for an ally in the fight against the Vamps, Emma finds hope and comfort in Jake’s arms. As she learns more about her new love’s family and its dark heritage, she may be forced not only to hunt them but to sacrifice her life to save Jake’s soul.

My Review:
Wow! Buffy watch out because Emma’s in town. Violet Midnight
was compelling and action packed show stopper. From the very first chapter we
are thrust into Emma’s world as a vampire hunter and soon after introduced to
Jake who is a little newer to the hunting game than she is. I adored both of
these characters. We get to see the story through both of their eyes and the
chemistry between them sizzles. Emma is a kick butt heroine and Jake is nothing short of adorable and sexy. Something else I loved about this book was that
is a welcome addition to the growing “New Adult” genre. If you love YA but love a little more steam
this book is sure to satisfy.
In a sea of vampire books, I was pleasantly surprised at how
original this one was. I loved the spin on vampire hunters. As always, Lynn
Rush has not disappointed. Clever dialog, action packed fight scenes, and
romance that burns up the pages make this one a must read. Highly recommend to
fans of paranormal romance. Violet
Midnight earns a big five stars from me!
