Embrace the Forbidden
What if there were teens whose lives literally depended on being bad influences?
This is the reality for sons and daughters of fallen angels.
Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna.
Forced to face her destiny, will Anna embrace her halo or her horns?

SWEET EVIL is officially my favorite YA paranormal book of
the year. Sexy, sweet, and intriguing this book will have you on the edge of
your seat from the first page to the last.
Anna is a good girl to her core. Kaidan is the definition of
bad boy. So when Anna finds out that she’s no ordinary human, things start to
get complicated. She finds herself traveling across country to learn more of
her heritage with the sexy Kaidan Rowe, whose entire purpose in life is to lure
girls into sin by seducing them. Despite Anna’s good girl tendencies, she finds
herself falling hard for Kai. Only a committed relationship is the one thing
Kai can’t give.
This story broke my heart then put it back together again. I
fell in love with Kaidan as he very obviously fell for Anna. And seeing Anna’s
struggle with not only being separated from Kai, but her fight against the dark
part of herself made my heart ache. The world building was brilliantly done,
and I was very happy with Anna’s character arc. Wendy Higgins crafted a beautiful
heart-breaking story that goes down as one of my all time favorites. I can’t
wait for the sequel!

Miniview with Wendy Higgins
1.) Kaidan Rowe has officially earned a place as one of my favorite boys In YA! With that in mind, who is your favorite "bad boy" in YA fiction?
At the moment I have to say Daemon Black from Obsidian (Jennifer Armentrout's Lux series). I also love Caleb from Karma Bites by Nyrae Dawn (out Aug 15), Dimitri from Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, and Raffe from Angelfall by Susan Ee. I'd better stop now... ;-P
2.) What would one of the songs be on Kaidan's "road trip" playlist?
"Bullet with Butterfly Wings" by The Smashing Pumpkins
3.) You are stranded on a desert island and are left with three items. What are the three items that are going to get you through until a hottie like Kaidan comes to your rescue?
The Harry Potter boxed set (that totally counts as one!!!)
Thick spiral notebook with pen stuck in the spiral part (oh, come on! They're stuck together - totally one!!!)
A wicked looking sharp knife (I must be able to break open the coconuts and other various strange things)
Thanks for having me, Tara!! *Big hugs*

*Sighs* I have yet to read this book. I get most of the books I read on Kindle or at my public library. I'm in a self-inflicted no-spending-money-on-books spell, and my public library has yet to bring Sweet Evil into the system. Take not, library! lol. Wendy, I really hope that Sweet Hope (hehe) gets picked up by your publishers. There's nothing liek sequels! Good luck! :D
