RACHEL: As you may have seen on Tuesday, I shined a Spotlight on PILGRIMS DON'T WEAR PINK by Stephanie Kate Strohm....and absolutely loved it! Now all my favorite swoony moments are either complete spoilers or don't read as swoony out of context as they do inside the story, but this is one of my favorites. Just trust me...it may not seem particularly swoony, but it is. Like, totally :)

His hand is warm against my skin, cupping my shoulder, and inside, my blood is racing- racing until I'm sure that I won't be able to able to stand it any longer. I need him to stop just so I can breathe without suffocating..

His scent was everywhere, overwhelming; heat and blood and life, and a distinct, earthy smell that was uniquely him. I imagined kissing him, trailing my lips down to his throat, a rush of hot blood flooding my mouth. I felt my fangs lengthen, even as I leaned in.
